GOLF SWING OVERHAUL: Left Hand Stays in Front of right hand. . . Until You Make Contact With the Golf Ball

I’ve had several requests to explain in more depth something that happens in my video MONGOOSE GOLF SWING tutorial. . .”Keep your left hand in front of your right hand. . .or lower hand (if you’re right-handed). . .until you make contact with the golf ball.”  One viewer wrote. . .”I tried this again and again and still can’t pull it off. Would you explain in more detail how to do this?”

Okay. . .first of all. . .if you’re using the conventional swing technique. . .the one we’ve all been taught. . .the tendency is to transfer too much weight to the right side (if you’re right-handed). . .which makes it difficult to get back over the ball and into position to apply the necessary force to execute a shot.  95% of golfers. . .male and female. . .are out of position while trying to apply force to a given shot.  What this does is turn a 6 iron into a 9 iron result.  The blade slips under the ball. . .or skulls it.

With the MONGOOSE GOLF SWING. . .you’re always in position to strike the ball as hard as you need to. . .to execute a given shot.  Always in position. . .means you don’t have to even think about “rhythm.”  People tend to place the ball too far forward.  Needless to say. . .the blade is getting flatter and flatter the farther forward you have to get the club to meet up with the ball.  A 7 iron becomes a wedge.
We marvel at a baseball hitter who can really lay some wood on a baseball.  We love the sound of it.  THWACK!  I used to watch Willie Mays and Willie McCovey nearly rip the cover off a baseball.  How did they do that?  The secret is to hit the ball flush.  Okay. . .what does that mean?  It means swinging the bat to meet up with the ball at the best place on the ball to drive it back and out. . .of the park ideally.  On a baseball it’s just beneath the equator of the ball.  If you draw a line through the middle of the bat and the middle of the ball. . .and line up the center of the bat with a spot just beneath the center of the ball. . .that’s the spot to hit if flush.
On a golf ball. . .it’s just slightly above the equator.  Why?  Because when you hit down on the ball. . .the club face is trying to slice through the center of the ball as you rotate your body around and up into a finish.  The advantage a golfer has over the baseball hitter is the ground.  When you hit down on a golf ball. . .you use the ground to help you slightly compress the ball as your strike it.  The advantages are spectacular to say the least.

With the MONGOOSE GOLF SWING. . .you merely lift the club. . .HOLD. . .contract your muscles all along the right side of your upper body. . . exactly as if you were about to throw a punch. . .and then simply strike down at the ball. . .while releasing your entire right side (if you’re right handed).  A great deal of power is released with less effort than with the conventional swing. . .and since your entire right side is released. . .your knees. . .hips. . .and lower back take very little abuse (not so with the conventional swing technique).

With the MONGOOSE GOLF SWING. . .you’ll have new distances to contemplate if you go this route.  You’ll begin to hear a new sound. . .a THWACK! (listen to the sound made when striking the ball verses merely hitting at it or sweeping it in my swing intro video).  To ORDER the ‘GOOSE’ - simply click on the BUY NOW button in the right column.  Get your own 33 minutes of ARRRR! video tutorial DVD. . .lots of slow motion, which makes it much easier to grasp the elements of the swing. . .lots of explanations.  When you click on the BUY NOW button you’ll be taken to PayPal.  If you DON”T have an account with them. . .no problem. . .you can use their services anyway. . .Simply click on the link “Don’t have a PayPal account” and you’ll be taken to a page where you can fill out the simple form - your credit card info. . .etc. - and you’re done.  Have a great summer.
